Over the Christmas period, Sanctuary in Chichester was able to provide gifts and practical support to children and families, thanks to the generosity of several partner organisations.

Chichester Harbour Rotary – who are so generous to our beneficiaries every Christmas and all year round – donated Christmas presents for children in families who have recently received leave to remain and moved into the local community. Our volunteers helped collect, wrap and deliver the gifts, ensuring they reached those most in need at a particularly difficult point of transition.

We also received kind donations of toiletries and biscuits from Chichester Regnum Women’s Institute, which were distributed to families in the community.

At Chichester Park Hotel, after consulting with the Manager, The Alliance for Better Care revamped the children’s playroom with new toys and provided every child with a pack of chocolates. In addition, each single woman received a much-appreciated Boots voucher.

We are very grateful to all the organisations that contributed. Their support made a meaningful difference to families who are rebuilding their lives after long periods of uncertainty or are still living in limbo.
