Sanctuary in Chichester is very welcoming to anyone who wants to get involved and make a difference, no matter how big or small. We are a diverse group with people of all ages and from many walks of life. What unites us is our desire to make Chichester a welcoming place for refugees who are often experiencing great turbulence in their lives.
“I always like to be welcomed somewhere. I expect refugees do too.”
Mary Downy, volunteer.
“Here in Chichester, refugees are not cut off or left to their own devices as they are in other places. When you learn to connect with people from other countries, then life is a lot more normal. It is important for the people of Chichester as well as the refugees.”
Ian Macauley, volunteer.
