Update: Sanctuary in Chichester Response to Asylum Hotel

Sanctuary in Chichester is gearing up to support the people housed in the hotel. This weekend some of our trustees and staff met many of the men, women and children who are accommodated there to assess how best we can support them, and work is now underway to help meet their needs. Thank you for all the messages of support. Some people have asked how they can help and there are two things that would make a big difference: donating so we can buy items or services that we are unable to source for free, and becoming a volunteer with us. Our awesome team of volunteers carry out the majority of the organisation’s vital work, and we provide the training and support needed to make it as rewarding as possible.

We don’t have storage or capacity to deal with donated items, so we are very grateful to be able to source them through our partner organisations according to individual needs. If you have items you would like to donate (good condition clothes, shoes, toys etc), please drop them off at My Sister’s House, 44 Bognor Road, Chichester PO19 7TG.
