Bec’s beautiful calendar raised £200

Thank you to our volunteer extraordinaire and social media superstar Bec Hopkins for donating the £200 proceeds from her 2025 calendar to Sanctuary. Bec said, “all proceeds from the sale of this calendar went to Sanctuary in Chichester to support the incredible work they do welcoming refugees and asylum seekers in our area.” – work that she is deeply involved in herself.

Bec is an artist by profession (here’s her website) and also mum of two young children, so we’re very grateful indeed that she also finds the time to volunteer and work with us, and that she decided to donate the proceeds of her calendar to Sanctuary.

Bec gave an example of how rewarding her voluntary role of befriender can be, “I love being involved with Sanctuary. We have just spent the day with our Syrian friends who we first befriended seven years ago. They are so, so happy and planning to visit Syria in the spring. They were showing me videos of all the parties and celebrations going on back at home. It was amazing to see them all so happy.”

Thank you Bec! 🙂
