The Article 12 artists (all unaccompanied refugee and asylum-seeking children or young people in our area) have their work being shown in an exhibition with Young Artist Partnership (YAP.) at the moment, and you can buy theirs and others’ work online.
“As you all know, sharing your creative output can be a scary prospect. All these young artists have shown great courage in agreeing to share their beautiful works with us all, especially given that for some it was their first foray with a paintbrush! This exhibition is about showcasing their fantastic work and, by doing so, helping to build their artistic and personal confidence.
We hope you enjoy their work and would encourage you to buy one of these unique and characterful artworks as a holiday gift. Proceeds will be split between our young artists, gifted in the form of a shopping voucher, and Article 12 Arts to support these young people and others like them in their future creative endeavours and self-expression.” – Caroline Sharman-Mendoza and Kate Viner, the awesome and inspiring artists running the Article 12 Art project.
