We rely on grants and the generosity of individual supporters to deliver our innovative services, like our transformative Pathways to Independence project. Until now, we could rely on grants for the bulk of our costs – mainly staffing to recruit, train and manage our large team of volunteers, plus expenses for newly arrived refugee families. But the funding landscape has shifted significantly recently (the impact of USAid withdrawals has been immense), and there are far less grants available so competition has increased, and it is really difficult to secure funding.

And as the number of refugees and the demand for our services keep increasing, we are not only growing in capacity, but also constantly developing the organisation to ensure it has the systems and personnel in place that are vital for a larger organisation, all of which needs funding to do.

So now it’s become necessary for us to step up our community fundraising and ensure we become less reliant on grants.
