Sanctuary in Chichester Storeroom Leader Role Description
Background
Sanctuary in Chichester (SiC) came into existence in 2016. ‘Sanctuary’ is a place of welcome and safety and our aim is to provide refugees and asylum seekers relocated to the Chichester area, with the best possible opportunity to settle, feel safe and become fully integrated into their new, adopted community. One of the most pressing needs of newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers is for clean and appropriate clothing, especially as some arrive with only the clothes they are wearing. SiC has established a clothing and equipment store at Chichester Park Hotel which is stocked by kind donations from the community. Beneficiaries at the hotel are encouraged to ‘shop’ (free of charge) in the store for themselves and their families. The storeroom is open once a week for 2 hours each shift. Beneficiaries in the community can request items via an order form.
Who is the storeroom leader responsible to? The storeroom leader is responsible to the Charity Manager, but also needs to maintain good relations with Chichester Park Hotel staff.
What are the responsibilities of the storeroom leader?
