Kerry will be supporting our beneficiaries in their journeys towards independence through goal-setting, personal development and helping them to overcome any barriers that may prevent them achieving their goals. Kerry said, “I am delighted and feel honoured to be part of Sanctuary in Chichester, to lead the Pathways to Independence programme and support beneficiaries to fulfil their potential; reinstate their sense of dignity and pride whilst supporting their integration into the very welcoming community of Chichester.” Kerry comes to us with a wealth of experience supporting marginalised (mainly young) people to fulfil their potential. Steve Lebbon – previously Operations & Volunteer Coordinator – has been promoted to Charity Manager, while Gemma Driver – previously Development & Communications Manager – has stepped back from this role. Gemma continues to work with Sanctuary in Chichester in a much reduced capacity and is now a trustee and Secretary to the Board.
Steve said, “Although I’ve only been working for Sanctuary in Chichester for the last nine months in what started out as a ‘part-time job’, I have seen what an amazing charity it is and that everybody involved is really passionate and hard working, whether they are volunteers, befrienders, staff or trustees, and now feel very proud to be part of this and feel ready to take on this new challenge. The trustees asked me to apply for this new role as Charity Manager. I was then offered the position and was delighted to be able to accept- I look forward to continuing working with you all.”
