From Adversity to University

Congratulations to the latest cohort of four students who graduated the From Adversity to University access course at the University of Chichester! This means they can either take degree courses at the University of Chichester or the University of Sussex, or use their new qualification and skills to access other work or education opportunities. We fund places on the course but we collaborate closely with the University of Chichester who subsidise our places and help ensure there are no other barriers for suitable candidates to take the course. Thank you to Course Coordinator Becky Edwards at the University and our Trustee Lois Smith for supporting the students through the course. A total of eight refugees and asylum seekers have now successfully completed the course (the previous cohort are all now in work), and we look forward to reporting back on everyone’s progress.
