In usual Sanctuary style, our New Year party brought together our community of refugees and volunteers, for food, fun and an array of talents. We enjoyed lots of musical skills from around the world, including a Ukrainian choir, Iranian and Japanese pianists, an oud-playing singer-songwriter and a Bangladeshi singer, among many other acts. Delicious food from Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine and the UK was provided by guests.

The Ukrainian choir, Volya Choir will be singing at Chichester Cathedral on Sunday 12th February at 11.15am, for a Sung Eucharist for Racial Injustice Sunday. They will also be performing at Give Peace A Chance! – a Ukraine benefit concert on Friday 24th February, 7:00pm at Assembly Rooms, Chichester. You can buy your tickets here. The event will feature renditions of The Beatles’ songs.
